Over the last few weeks we have been settling into Nursery and exploring our new environments. All the children have settled in so well, and show a great willingness to learn and try new activities.
We have been focusing on the topic 'All about me', learning about ourselves and our new friends. We have painting portraits of ourselves, discussing the features we have on our faces. We have created handprints and fingerprint pictures. In our home corner we have shared our own experiences of being in the kitchen, sharing meals and caring for others. We have discussed our likes and dislikes, finding out that some of our friends may like the same things as us. We have explored new areas with our new friends, sharing toys and taking turns in games. We have created faces using playdough, natural materials and even pegs.
It has been a great first few weeks at Nursery, and we are looking forward to all the other topics we will learn, friends we will make and adventures we will go on.
