Discovering Stonehenge

The Year 3 children have been learning about Stonehenge and discovering the significance of Stonehenge when learning about historical landscapes. They explored the Stonehenge audio guide (Download App via Google Play or the App Store ) and built their own version of Stonehenge using classroom resources.

Stonehenge Information:

Stonehenge is in Wiltshire, UK. It is around 5000 years old. There are 93 stones remaining at the Stonehenge site. Stonehenge is older than the pyramids in Egypt. Some people believe that it may have been used as a calendar. Moving those heavy stones would have been very difficult. There are many theories about why Stonehenge was built.
