3MG Forest School

For the last two weeks, 3MG have attended Forest School, taking part in many activities during the outdoor learning sessions. All the children thoroughly enjoyed, experiencing the different habitats, investigating living things and developing an understanding of the world around them.

Mowgli Class particularly enjoyed investigating snail habitats and what snails love to eat. They observed the snails sampling a range of collected food items and returned them to safety at the end of the Forest School session.

The children also learned how to be safe using the skills needed to whittle wood. They created intricate designs and patterns after they whittled the wood and used their designs to create an art instillation in celebration of David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.

We had a fantastic time these past two weeks while we explored the outdoor learning environment.
