The Children in Year 3 took part in a Stone Age Experience Day to inspire them to develop vocabulary to use within their upcoming writing in English lessons, based on the book: Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura.
They used their imaginations to travel back in time approximately 12,000 years to the Mesolithic era. During the morning they became hunters and gatherers and acted as Nomads living in caves. They made spears to help them survive, hunted for fish in the river, collected berries, drew cave paintings, created fire to cook their food and experienced life living in caves.
