On Monday we entered into the Rhino Sports, Year 3/4 Tag rugby competition. This was held at Hanslope Primary school on an artificial pitch. For most of our children it was the first time playing competitive tag rugby, and we were very quick learners! Our children have been working in PE lessons and with Saints, but have never played competitively.
There were five teams and we played a round robin of fixtures, twice. In our first game against Hunsbury Park, we were well beaten 3-0, then drew our next game in a really close match. We then won our other games in the first round of fixtures. After a short rest break we replayed against the same teams. All the teachers were really proud how the standard had risen from all the teams, we even beat Hunsbury Park in the reverse fixture 3-0! We finished in 2nd place overall. Well done to all the children who took part, from Year 3 was Roman, Cohan and Jaisaih, from Year 4, Jaxon, Prince, Lorenzo, Suwaiba, Daisy F, Ella G and Zoe.
