Ten Year 3 children took part in the Nsport Invasion Games festival on Thursday 11th November. They completed successfully in a number of skills stations based around different invasion games like Netball and Handball. The children soon realised how they had learnt many transferable skills in our school PE lessons that they could use in other sports. The children were great ambassadors for our school, demonstrating excellent determination, willingness to learn and participate. Well done to Aurora, Emma, Freddie, Gabriel, Harvey, Pippa, Richard, Zavi, Jan and Naviah.
Welcome to Boothville Primary Sports Blog
We believe that it is important for children to take part in a range of both competitive and non-competitive sports and for everyone to be able to achieve their own personal goals. Through competition and challenge we want pupils to be able to celebrate the occasions when they are successful, whilst realising that teamwork and fair play has a key role to play in not only the sporting world but also their own lives.
Children are encouraged to take part in extracurricular sessions, Sports Leader lead games, kids marathon, school house competitions or sports clubs. Before and after school sports clubs run every day and are led by sports coaches, where we encourage and support children to become involved. As well as these opportunities, Boothville take part in competitions and Festivals against other schools in the local area. This allows the children the opportunity to put skills learnt during lessons or at our after-school clubs into practise and also gives them the opportunity to make links with outside clubs in the local area.
We work closely with Northamptnshire Sport , Northampton Saints, M.A.B Academy Gymnastics and Pacesetters to allow our children to develop skills in individual sports and pathways to clubs outside of school.

On Friday 28th November, 12 of our Year 5 and six children attended a Quicksticks competition at Benham Sports Centre. Our two teams were entered into two separate groups and played matches against each of the other teams in their group before playing a placement match at the end. Our children were a credit to our school and showed great determination and sportsmanship throughout the morning and worked fantastically within their teams. At the end we finished in 5th and 7th. Well done to: Leo M, Zuzanna, Wyatt, Phoebe, Ryan O, Aoife M, Joshua F, Amber L, Anna, Brooke, Albert C and Rares.
